Bryan and I went out tonight and dove for coupons. We go to the big green and yellow recycle dumpsters and look for discarded Sunday newspapers with the coupons in there. You'd be surprised how much you come away with. And those big dumpsters are at every church and school in the area, so we have tons to choose from! We came back with a ton of coupons! I love that it's free and it keeps us from being bored. I don't think there's anything free this week, but I should be able to get some stuff for cheap. Walgreens is having a good deal on Pepsi. It ends up being about 18 cents a can. Awesome. I'm stocking up for Bryan!
I'm going to use my Jo Anns coupon to get some stuff for Hadley's Easter basket. I'm not sure what all is going in there, but I will be getting a little retractable measuring tape like mine for sewing. She likes to pull it all the way out and then press the button to snap it back in. I don't want her to break mine, so I thought I'd get her her own to play with.
I'm off to knit and watch Chuck with my husband!

I love Spring
Last night we went to the park and had a fun time swinging and playing on the teeter totter. Hadley doesn't like to touch anything outside. If she loses her balance and falls, she is more upset that she had to touch the grass or mulch or dirt than the fact that she fell. She's my girly girl! It was so warm that I had to dig through her upcoming bigger/spring clothes to find her something to wear yesterday. It was so nice to just be outside and let her discover new things. She particularly likes the dogs next door, and she makes this little growl sound when she sees them. I think she's barking at them.
My mom and I (well, mostly my mom) worked in the back yard yesterday. We were digging up some stumps from some ugly bushes. I want to grow a vegetable garden out under my kitchen window, but I have a lot of work to get rid of all the rocks that the former owner used instead of mulch. It's so overwhelming! And there's no where to put them here, so we have to put them in garbage bags and have them taken with the trash. But those rocks are heavy! So it's going to take a lot of trash days to get them all gone. Slowly but surely.
I want to grow broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, and something in the fall like a pumpkin or something. Now, I might be biting off more than I can chew considering how overwhelmed I am with simply getting started, but if all else fails...I will have tomatoes!!! I want to make my own Spaghetti sauce, because we just don't like any of the store bought brands, and they are so expensive!
There is a man at our church who has started up his own computer consulting company and he has hired Bryan to do some work for one of his clients. So, after Bryan gets off work from his day job, he gets to go spend an hour of two working for this client. We are very excited about the extra money we're going to get. He's actually making more hourly with the second job than with Schilli! So, with that money, and my knitting money, we're going to have a big payoff on the student loans this month!
My knitting is getting out of control! I have so many people on Diaper Swappers that want me to knit for them. I'm really excited, but I want to make sure I don't take on too much to handle. Everyone says I'm super quick though, so no unhappy customers yet.
I had a book party this weekend, and because I hosted and sold a certain amount, I get $40 in free childrens books. I'm so excited! Hadley's getting a lot of new books coming her way. I also took advantage of a 1/2 price sale they were having and got $50 in books for $25. Then, I can have them around to wrap up for Christmas/Birthday presents! Yeah!
I will add pics of the park later!

Warm Day
The last time it was warm Hadley wasn't even crawling yet! So, we've taken full advantage of the nice weather the last few days to go outside and play. She pushed her dolly stroller around the back patio. She waved at the neighbor's dogs. She walked up and down the sidewalk. She ate a leaf. She fell down and bonked her head. She touched the grass and decided she didn't like it! Lots of new experiences for one afternoon. Now she looks out the back door and knows what's out there. Here are some pictures of her first time playing outside:

Boring?
Well, we haven't posted for a week. I guess nothing can top Hadley walking!
Today we went to Hadley's cousin's birthday party. Mason turned 2. It was fun hanging out with everyone. Hadley had a fun time seeing all the little kids. She watched them all play, but wasn't too keen on joining in. She hovered right by us the whole time. But boy did she enjoy the cake! We were lucky that she napped at her Mammaw and Pappaw's house before we went, otherwise she would have been a grouch.
I've been knitting for my fellow cloth diaper moms on Diaper Swappers for the past month. Some people use diapers that need an outer layer (I don't use that kind) and some of these moms like the convenience, and cuteness, of knit pants. If you use wool, it holds in all the wetness, plus wool has antibacterial qualities that make it perfect for this use. So, I've been offering my knitting services to my online buddies, and several have taken me up on the offer. Not only have I been having fun knitting away like usual, but now I get PAID to do it! And at about $25 a pop, I'm pretty impressed with the money I'm bringing in. Every little bit counts. We want to pay off our student loans in a couple years and I'm going to put every bit towards that. So, with that purpose in mind, I knit away as I watch my favorite TV shows. Which will FINALLY be new this week... come on CBS!
