Merry Christmas!

Hadley in her new big girl car seat for the first time!

I love my new friend Lily. She sings in Spanish and English.

As you can see, we had a fun time this Christmas. It was not Hadley's fist, but last year hardly counted anyway. We opened presents at home on Christmas morning, and we all enjoyed ourselves. Then we went to my parents house for brunch and family Christmas. Then, on Sunday was Christmas at the Jamison's. There was lots of fun with cousins and aunts and uncles. People were in from out of town and I just love the fellowship as well as the excited little kids. It had been a long day, so Hadley was about done with presents and strangers wanting to hold her. We got a much needed new car seat, and we are so thrilled to be able to turn around and see her smiling face in the back seat staring at us! Also, Hadley got a little Leap Frog learning pal named Lily. She LOVES to love on that frog, giving her hugs and kisses all the time. It's so cute!
Now comes the depressing part of taking down all the decorations and storing them for next year. Thank goodness we have the extra garage in the back for all our stuff! Bryan did a really good job decorating this year. We've never lived in the same place 2 Christmases in a row, so everything changes every year. But next year, it will be easy having already done this once before. Check out the cool lights:He would have done the top part of the house too, but it never thawed out and was a solid sheet of ice, so after falling off the roof, he decided to wait until next year. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas with family and friends and that your new year gets off to an awesome start!
Love from Bryan, Emily, and Hadley!

Hadley's First Birthday!

Hadley had a terrific birthday party and got some fun new toys. Friends and family came over and enjoyed some cake and snacks. She wasn't very interested in opening the wrapping paper, so we're hoping she might be more interested in that on Christmas morning. But, she got a kitchen to play with, and she loves to open and close the refrigerator door. She also got lots of new books to look at, and some new clothes! Take a look at how big she's getting! I'm still learning how to do this, so bear with me, but I hope you enjoy the pictures for now.

My first Blog

So, I kept saying that I would start a blog so that family and friends could see what's happening at our house, and see how Hadley is growing. Well, here it is! I've been meaning to do this forever. It is my new years resolution to keep this going. Keep me accountable.
