Hadley and a Breadstick

MMMMM, Pizza.
I was too lazy to put her in her high chair, so we just sat her on the counter next to the pizza box and gave her bites off our pizza. Then, I turn around for two seconds and she swipes a breadstick and starts chomping down like it's all she's ever wanted! She was being too funny so I had to take a picture! Well, Bryan took the picture, but still hilarious!

Clothesline!

Bryan put up our new clothes line the other day and I was so excited to dry our diapers outside!! I love seeing them outside my back window drying. Hadley handed me the clothes pins. She's such a big helper! She also likes to help me unload the dishwasher and put the clothes in the dryer!

Macaroni Deals!

Bryan could eat a box of kraft macaroni for breakfast, lunch and dinner! So, we go through it pretty fast. About 8 months ago I found a great deal on them at Meijer. They were 33 cents a box, so I bought 30 or so boxes. We ran out about a month ago, but I just couldn't bring myself to pay full price. 75 cents a box is a rip off!
Then last sunday there was a buy 3 get 1 free coupon on the paper. After doing our dumpster diving we had 50 copies of the coupon insert with the macaroni coupon in it. I thought "yess....50 boxes of macaroni" Then Bryan informed me that I only needed like 12 of the coupons to get 50 boxes. 50 coupons actually gets me 200 boxes! Oops, I dont' need that many boxes. But I have lots of copies of that coupon if anyone wants it!
We wanted to use them in conjunction with a really awesome sale.....and boy did we ever. Kroger is currently offering $1 off your next order when you buy 4 boxes of kraft macaroni. So, you buy them and then you get a print out to use on your next purchase of anything in their store. We went to the store and cleared their shelf! It was so amazing. They were on sale for 53 cents a box, plus the coupon, plus the next order deal! After all was said and done we bought 44 boxes for 15 cents each!
And I think we may go to another store and clear their shelf as well! It's such an amazing feeling to know that we are paying so little for something we use so much of! Yeah for us and our Macaroni...oh and Hadley liked the boxes!

Harvest

Now, try not to be overwhelmed by my crop!
The corn isn't done and neither are the tomatoes, but I've harvested a little of everything else.
First, I picked a total of 9 green beans. I was super excited about eating them, but then I forgot that they were on the stove and I burnt them to a crisp...so there goes that.

Then, I pulled up my carrots...and here's a pic of them.

In this picture, they look a little small, but overall not too bad....well scroll down!

Oh, my I can't wait to take a bite out of my quarter sized carrots!!! NOT!

So, those were a really bad couple of days as I was depressed about all my hard work, but then I finally got to eat something delicious out of my garden:

I am a bit of a bell pepper nut. I eat about 3 a week if not more. So, I decided to grow one. However, green ones are not good. I only like the orange/red/yellow varieties because they are sweeter. But, I ate this green one happily because I grew it myself!
Now, I've never eaten an eggplant before, and I don't think I ever will again, but it was very interesting!
If my corn and tomatoes don't produce anything good I will be super disappointed, but we have a while before we cross that bridge!

4th of July

Ok, so this doesn't really have anything to do with the 4th of July, but I needed a title! We spent most of the day at home today, and then we went to Lauren and David's for a cook out. Which turned into a cook in because of the rain.
I really just wanted to post a picture of Hadley's first pony tail! She's so cute!

Then, right as I was about to post this, guess who shows up in our driveway!

This was David's first time working our district, so he came by to show us his cool car. Bryan got in just for fun! Our neighbors are going to think we're in trouble. Ha!
